Go that route first, of course. If you're anywhere near Guelph, in Ontario, go see Paul Gaumanns for your eye exam. Tell them ahead of time & you can take your air pistol. Otherwise, measure the distance from your eye to the front sight of your gun.
Anyhow, if the prescription doesn't work well enough, you can still shoot right-handed, left-eye dominant. You'll just have to work out your head position for that. There certainly are shooters that shoot cross dominant. You're just going to have to try all the options & figure out which is best. Have fun experimenting.
