Richard H. has it right. You are probably sneaking your eye off the sight, to the monitor & therefore not following through.
A better use of your camera & monitor is to put the camera on you, &/or your air pistol & use a spotting scope to check your shots, after-the-fact. Note your shots on a target sitting on your table, then watch the video to analyze what's happening.
A big mistake newer shooters make is to need immediate gratification by seeing their score/shot. Concentrate on technique & "confirm" by checking your grouping.
If you do decide to keep the camera on the target, at least overdo the follow-through - holding it, focused on the front sight, for 1 or 2 seconds, then see where your group is.
