London is in southwestern Ontario, and is a city of around 350,000. The Board of Control, a part of City Hall, was considering a gun ban for the city of London.
Well, people acted and were loud (but polite) in their opinions and rejection of the idea. As a result, "Londonís Board of Control this morning unanimously recommended rejecting a call by Toronto Mayor David Miller to ban all handguns..."
Well done and congratulations to the folks of the Crumlin Sportsmen's Association (like John Fitzgerald, club PResident) for getting the word out to the shooting community and for educating City Council.
Now, if only Toronto's Mayor Miller could actually listen to his constituents...
