: As the subject line states, I have a question: Why do you go to the Grand Prix?
Last year I opted to shoot 2 events (3-P, prone, and air) in Europe. The cost per day was cheeper than what I spend at the CAGP and the competitive experience significantly higher. A very nice learning experience. The total cost was more because I was over for 14 days. So I opted not to do the CAGP because I felt the value and experience was better.
This year I am shooting the CAGP. Now it is the total cost that is primary in my mind. However, if I could afford it I think I would head back to Europe again.
It would be nice if the CAGP, was a little more affordable, i.e., lower hotel rates, lower match fees perhaps. Also, it would be nice if the event moved around a little. Toronto is not as appealing as it used to be. I know the event is technically not in Toronto but it is still a little too close for my liking.
That's my thoughts
