Canada's not pulling the nonsense they did for the Greece olympics of not letting shooter use a quota spot unless they are ranked top 12 are they?

: Excellent Avi! You're hard work has paid off!!

: The quota spot belongs to Canada and I suspect there will be a few other top Canadian Women's Air Pistol shooters competing with Avi to use it. Good luck to all of you! You're all awesome shooters.

The way i understand it, in order to go to the olympics the COC has in place a rule that says you must qualify with the national team, etc. And earn your quota spot or be ranked 12th in the world in your sport.

This is the same rule that made Sharron Bowes sit out Athens. Although she won a quota spot, she did so because it was passed on to her due to the countries placing higher than her having already won their spots.

Even though the quota spot is for the country to use, the COC ruling pretty much gaurantees that Avi will be the person using it. Unless we have a number of women ranked in the top 12 for AP. Or the SFC makes a ministerial plea, similar to Susan Natrass' case for someone who does not fit the rules but has an above average chance at a medal.
