: I expect one eye in its relaxed state is rotated relative to the other. I find the same thing happening to me when I am at the range shooting rifle. When you look at something (an object) your eyes try to work in unison, so they each rotate until the image appears just right in your brain. It takes more effort to "see" things than you might think!
