I would choose canvas. Canvas is stiffer, which may be a problem at international equipment checks. Using the jacket regularly will take care of that. Leather can get softer and stretch with age. In addation it is getting harder to find all leather jackets.

Ultimately you can successfully use either type in small bore

: What is the difference between the two? Which is more suitable for smallbore prone shooting (if price were not an issue)?
