I'd heartily second Patrick's opinion. There are lots of Victors on the used market, some in absolutely fantastic condition. Magazines are the more rare commodity, so you'll obviously be in good shape since you have one or two already. The Victor is a great pistol, and you're obviously very accustomed to it, so purchasing a used one is a logical choice. And when looking for one on the used market you'll know where to look for cracks and signs of wear! ;-)

: Hi Dwight.

: Some may differ on this opinion, but when visible cracks appear on a gun, it is time for it to be retired. What you can't see with the eye may be worse than what you can see. It isn't worth the risk in my opinion. Remember: safety is the most important factor in our sport.

: You may want to sell it to a PAL instructor who will get it decommissioned for classroom use. This way, it is still being used within the shooting community and you get some money back from it as well.

: I'd recommend picking up a used High Standard as a replacement. There are lots out there at reasonable prices if you look around.

: Good luck!
: Patrick
