Having gone through two cataract surgeries, plus coping with the usual eye-related issues associated with aging, I sympathize. My advice is to find a good Optometrist, not an Ophthalmologist. Optometrists really know how to take accurate measurements for corrective lenses (which are then dispensed by an Optician). Ophthalmologists are higher up the pecking order as they are MD's who have specialized in diseases of the eye. Can I assume this is not your problem? They are, however, despite all their medical training, often less skilled and/or experienced at taking precise measurements for corrective lenses.
