eye dominace has little to do with which focuses better but does paly a part, to find which eye is dominant make a circle with your thumb and fore finger, look at a distant object. now alternately open and close each eye, the eye that sees your chosen obeject through the circle is your dominant eye and is the one that your brain uses most to focus on distant objects.


in a perfect world everyone would shoot with the hand that corresponds to their dominant eye... but a majority of firearms are manufactered for right handed people.

it is possible to train a non dominant eye, and eye domminance can change over the years(my eyes now fight for dominance... its really annoying ) for target shooting, but most people opt for blinders and other equipment to fool the weak eye to take over focusing duty
